The Baas Project – Walsenberg, CO

This was a major project for a new mountain home in Walsenberg, CO.  The images in the slideshow include photos of the work in progress as well as the finished product.  It includes photos of the kitchen, the tongue and groove paneled ceiling, the custom light, both bathroom cabinets, the office and the trim work.

The project involved:

  • custom kitchen cabinets
  • custom cabinets for two bathrooms
  • custom office cabinets and desk
  • a custom light fixture – the owners showed Dave a light that they really liked and asked him to reproduce it using LED lights.
  • all trim work:
    • baseboards
    • doors
    • door trim
    • window trim
    • tongue and groove paneling on the ceilings

The kitchen cabinets are cherry with flat panel doors, solid panel drawer fronts, and medium brown stain finish.  The kitchen features the following:

  • the lower cabinets all have pull drawers
  • the pantry also has pull drawers
  • pull-out spice cabinet
  • appliance garage with a rollup accordion door
  • flat pan storage
  • tilt out sink drawer
  • open shelves on the end of the island
  • fluting details

Look at the wood grain on this table. Note how the wood grain on each drawer front matches perfectly and continues on the main front piece of the table. This is a custom made table with a vessel sink for a bathroom in the Baas house.

This is an excellent example of the superb craftsmanship that Dave puts into each and every piece he creates.
